Missinaibi Forest Management Inc. (MFMI) holds an enhanced Sustainable Forest License (SFL) from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) in the Northeast Region. MFMI was formed in 2020 to take on forest management responsibilities on the Missinaibi Forest located in and around Chapleau, Dubreuilville and Wawa, Ontario. The Missinaibi forest management unit is an amalgamation of the former Martel and Magpie Forests and includes the Chapleau Crown Game Preserve area. GreenFirst Forest Products staff provide a General Manager, forest management and silvicultural services to MFMI.
