FSC® Certification

MFMI's commitment to sustainable forestry

MFMI works with our First Nation, Community and Industry partners to ensure the long-term health of the forest. MFMI subscribes to the globally recognized Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) Forest Management (FM) and FM Chain-of-Custody certification requirements.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) sets strict standards for responsible forest stewardship. The FSC National Forest Stewardship Standard of Canada includes Principles, Criteria, and Indicators for forest management (FM) certification which ensures that FSC® certified forests are managed in an environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable manner.
